A boot that will be seen even thirty thousand feet in the clouds, Somewhere Over Laredo will take you chasing those neon rainbows. Inspired by flowers of childhood and statement vintage finds, this boot has your back from the rodeo to the festival to the streets in a town like Laredo. Made with beautiful embroidery and calfskin inlays and overlays, in burnt red, aquamarine, with yellow and blue accents, all laid on top of a supple off-white calfskin.

Golden West boots are made true to size. Start with your typical shoe size in well-made sneakers or leather shoes.

Between sizes? We recommend sizing up if you have a wider foot.
Already wear cowboy boots? Use the size that fits you best in a classic brand.

Step 2: Try Them On the Right Way

When your boots arrive, here’s how to make sure the fit is just right:

Use a boot sock or a sock that is slightly thicker than your everyday sock, but not bulky.
Stand up and walk around on carpet to protect the soles in case you need to return.
Expect heel slip. A little lift in the heel (¼–½ inch) is normal and will disappear as the sole breaks in.
Feel for a snug instep: this is the top of your foot. It should feel secure, like a hug, not tight, not loose.
Check the toe room. You should be able to wiggle your toes. No cramping, no pinching.
Look for comfort, not cushion. Leather molds to your foot over time.

Step 3: Break Them In Like a Pro

Leather boots only get better with wear. Here’s how to ease into your new pair:

Wear them around the house for short periods
Let them naturally soften at pressure points (especially the instep)
Want to speed it up? Try a leather conditioner on tight areas
Avoid heat or water to force a stretch. They’re built to break in with you, not against you

At the moment, Golden West boots are exclusively available online. We don't have any permanent retail locations yet, but we do host occasional pop-up events, so stay tuned!

In the meantime, our best tip is to order your usual boot size and try them on indoors on carpet. As long as the boots show no signs of wear, returns and exchanges are easy if the fit isn't quite right.

These boots are SOOOO Gorgeous! Every where I go, when I wear these, people stop me an tell me how much they love them. Someone shouted it from their car the other day!! Quality is amazing and they are super comfy.

I wore my Laredo boots to an outdoor wedding near Portola. I had several girls tell me I won the cutest boot contest and there were a lot of boots at this wedding. They were so comfortable right from the beginning.

I was very disappointed in the quality of the boots. Priced at almost $500 with shipping and taxes I was expecting the boots to be so amazing. I own cowboys from other brands that are all very high quality leather. These boots not worth the money. I tried them on once in my house and walked to a mirror within the house. Was unhappy with look and feel of boots and immediately returned to box and emailed company that I wanted a refund. Sent back that day thru UPS. I got no response or update for TWO months from the company. Very frustrating. After sending several emails asking for info I was finally given a response which stated the boots no longer returnable due to the bottom of boots looking worn. They were never actually worn but just tried on. I let them know my frustrations with my whole experience with their brand and product and they did offer me the full refund. I will never buy another boot from them and feel like two months to resolve the issue was so terrible.
